Three champions gather — Baxter, Chris, and Erik — each bearing two album nominees into the tournament hall. Enter your artist and album into each of your two seats. The Wheel shall seek the cover art from the archives.
When your champion is named and its cover art retrieved, press ✦ Seal this Champion to lock it in. The canonical title and artist shall be inscribed from the archives at the moment of sealing. Only when all six seats are sealed may the Wheel be invoked.
Should you wish to reconsider, press Edit to unseal and try again.
One among you shall press Decree the Fates. The Wheel turns, weighted by the burden each album carries — long-suffering nominees spin with greater fortune than fresh recruits. When the Wheel rests, the chosen album is revealed with all due ceremony.
After the winner is proclaimed, the roster must be reformed for the next tourney:
The winner's owner must nominate a new album to fill the vacant seat. Their remaining album keeps its weight but earns no bonus for the round.
The other two champions may choose for each of their surviving albums: Keep it, and it grows heavier by one weight — making it more likely to be chosen in future tourneys. Or Replace it with a new nomination, which enters at ordinary weight.
Weight is earned through patience. An album that survives one tourney spins with 2× the fortune of a newcomer. Two tourneys: 3×. The longer an album waits, the more the Fates favour it — but replace it, and all accumulated fortune is lost.
Every tournament is recorded in the Chronicle of Battles below the wheel. The history of champions, their owners, and how long they waited before glory is preserved for all to witness.
May the Fates be ever in your favour.
Or at least tolerably so.
